Garden Route

The famous Garden Route stretches along the Southern Cape from Slang River near Heidelberg, eastwards to the Tsitsikamma Forest and Storms River.  This coastal route links a series of charming towns and villages with superb natural beauty.

Explore this magnificent region and visit the ostrich town of Oudtshoorn, ride the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe steam train which  travels through the spectacular coastal scenery from George to Knysna. Take a ferry to explore the Featherbed Nature reserve.

Visit the seaside town of Mossel Bay, a bustling summer holiday resort or Plettenberg Bay with its sweeping unspoiled golden beaches, a dramatic rock peninsula and an exceptional climate year round, Plettenberg Bay is a popular beach holiday destination for local and international holiday makers.

With the abundance of inland water as well as the Indian Ocean there are endless opportunities for water activities such as swimming, water skiing, windsurfing and diving.
