Day 1 - Wed: Cape Town to Montagu

Travel via scenic Cape Winelands to Stellenbosch. Enjoy some wine tasting & museum visit. Continue to Worcester and Robertson.

Overnight in Montagu.

 
Day 2 - Thurs: Montagu to Oudtshoorn (B) (L)

Travel to Oudtshoorn passing through Barrydale and Ladismith. Guided tour and lunch at Ostrich Show Farm. After lunch visit the world famous Cango Caves.

Overnight in Oudtshoorn.

 
Day 3 - Fri: Oudtshoorn to Knysna (B) (L)

Travel over Outeniqua Pass to George. Option to travel on Outeniqua Choo Tjoe steam train (optional & at own expense. Check Timetable). Transfer to Knysna and board ferry to the Featherbed Nature Reserve. Enjoy trailer ride to top of Western Head and walk back through Milkwood trees for lunch.

Day 4 - Sat: Knysna (B)

Drive through some of the most beautiful parts of the Gardon Route as you drive to Nature’s Valley and the Tsitsikamma Forests. Return to Knysna via Plettenberg Bay.

Day 5 - Sun: Knysna to Hermanus (B) (L)

Head west via George and Mossel Bay to Swellendam for lunch. Continue to Hermanus, one of the world’s best shore based whale watching sites (Aug - Nov).

Day 6 - Mon: Hermanus to Cape Town (B)
Depart Hermanus via coastal road to Somerset West. Continue to Cape Town where tour ends on arrival in the late afternoon.
 
Passengers may be dropped off, on request, at Cape Town International Airport en-route to Cape Town

Day 1: Cape Town to Montagu - 100kms

Depart Cape Town and make your way along the scenic "Route 62", stopping enroute to sample some of the fine wines produced in the area. The historic town of Montagu will seduce you with its quiet atmosphere and picturesque colonial buildings.

Day 2: Montagu to Oudtshoorn - 230kms (B)

Set off early for Oudtshoorn and pass through the stunning scenery of the Klein Karoo, arid and majestic there are numerous sightseeing options. Visit the famous Cango Caves or an ostrich farm enroute to your colonial farmstead.

Day 3 & 4: Oudtshoorn to Knysna - 135kms (B)

Travel over the Outeniqua Pass and descend onto the Garden Route. Knysna is the perfect base to explore beautiful beaches and dramatic gorges.

Day 5: Knysna to George - 70kms (B)

Head back along the Garden Route to George which lies at the foot of the Outeniqua Pass. Here indigenous forests have been preserved and are full of bird life.

Day 6: George to Hermanus - 350kms (B)

Set off this morning for Hermanus, passing through Swellendam, founded in 1744, and on to Hermanus to witness the awesome sight of humpback whales cavorting close to the shore (Jun-Nov)

Day 7: Hermanus to Cape Town (B)

Spend you last day travelling along the coast road to Cape Town. Enroute stop at Somerset West and Gordons Bay to sample the local wines.
