The Golfing Getaways are our recommended golfing packages, which offer golfers the best choice of standard or deluxe accommodation, and a variety of championship and holiday golf courses. These packages focus on one or two areas, but can be easily linked to create a longer golfing holiday, to encompass more of South Africa and Mauritius. These packages are merely a sample of what we can do, and our golfing specialist has loads of ideas that might suit your needs better.
Most of these packages are based on a self drive option. We resommend that you take your luggage and golfing equipment into consideration when selecting your car. |

- In South Africa, distances are measured in metres. To convert from metres to yards, multiply by 1.09.
- Golf clubs can be hired from most golf courses.
- Caddies are good value for money and range from ZAR120 to ZAR150.
- A good caddy will have a good 'course sense', be able to read greens and advise on club selection - not just merely carrying your bag and helping you find lost balls! (Almost like a golf guide to the course).
- Wednesday afternoons, Saturdays and Sundays are generally for members only at Club courses.
- The use of sunscreen lotion is recommended.
- When playing on the coastal golf courses it is better to play in the morning because of the wind.
- Mobile phones should be switched off at all times on the golf course.
- When playing in the higher altitudes such as johannesburg or Sun City, take into account that the ball will travel approximately 10% further than at coastal golf courses.
- Restaurants at golf clubs are generally casual.

Day 1: Arrive Cape Town
On arrival at Cape Town International Airport you are met and assisted to the car hire depot to collect your car. Drive to your selected hotel.
Day 2: The Royal Cape Golf Club
After breakfast drive to The Royal Cape Golf Club for a round of golf. This is the oldest golf club in South Africa, and is a demanding course with narrow fairways, strategically placed bunkers and fast greens. This afternoon we recommend you visit the scenic Cape Peninsula Nature Reserve.
Day 3: De Zalze Golf Club
This morning drive to Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa, to play a round of golf at De Zalze Golf Club at The Village at Spier. After your game of golf, sample some of the wines produced on the Spier Wine Estate (at own expense).
Day 4: Cape Town
Today we recommend a trip up Table Mountain in the Cable Car (at own expense), for spectacular views of Table Bay and the city bowl.
Day 5: Depart Cape Town
Check out and transfer back to Cape Town International Airport for your onward flight. Alternatively you could travel to Hermanus or the Garden Route, to play the golf courses in these areas.

TEE OFF TIMES ARE SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY AT THE TIME OF BOOKING
Day 1: Arrive George
On arrival at George Airport you will be met by a representative and assisted to collect your hire car. This afternoon, play a round of golf at the Links Golf Course at Fancourt, home to the President's Cup in 2003 and the Woman's World Cup in 2005, for golfers staying at Fancourt Hotel only. Golfers staying at Protea Hotel King George enjoy a round of golf at George Golf Course. This hotel overlooks the 11th fairway of the famous George Golf Course.
Day 2: Fancourt Country Club
This morning play a round of golf at Fancourt Country Club (Bramble Hill). This Gary Player designed course is a demanding but fair test set in beautiful surroundings. This afternoon we suggest a visit to Oudtshoorn, the 'feather capitol' of the world because of its large ostrich industry, and the Cango Caves.
Day 3: Knysna
Depart George and travel along the picturesque Garden Route to Knysna. We suggest a ferry ride across the estuary to the Featherbed Nature Reserve (at own expense), where you can view the 'Heads', two majestic rock cliffs at the lagoon's entrance.
Day 4: Pezula Country Club (ex Sparrebosch)
Make your way to Pezula Country Club and enjoy a round of golf. This magnificent green was designed by Ronald Fream and David Dale of Golfplan, California.
Day 5: Depart George
Check out and travel to George Airport where you drop off your hire car and board your onward flight.

On arrival at Durban International Airport you will be met and assisted to collect your hire car. Travel down to the KwaZulu-Natal south coast and check in to your hotel.
Day 2: Selborne Golf Course
Travel to Selborne Golf Course and enjoy a round of golf on this beautiful and challenging course.
Day 3: San Lameer Golf Club
Make your way to San Lameer Golf Club for a round of golf on this championship course.
Day 4: Durban Country Club
Travel to Durban and play at the Durban Country Club, where the wind makes for a true test of golfer's capabilities. After your game of golf travel to Ballito where you overnight.
Day 5: Zimbali Golf Club
Golf today is at Zimbali Golf Club, a world class course designed by Tom Weiskopf, former British and South African Open Golf Champion.
Day 6: KwaZulu-Natal North Coast
Relax on the beach or explore further north to Zululand, an area which abounds with wildlife.
Day 7: Depart Durban
Make your way back to Durban International Airport for your onward flight, or take advantage of spending 2 nights on safari at one of the lodges in Zululand.

Day 2: Gary Player Golf Course
Enjoy a round of golf at th Gary Player Golf Course, ranked as one of the best in South Africa. Arguablythe most famous golf course in South Africa, it hosts the Nedbank Million Dollar Golf Tournament. This afternoon we recommend you visit the Pilanesberg Game Reserve, home to the 'Big Five' (at own expense).
Day 3: Lost City Golf Course
This morning play the Lost City Golf Course. Carved out of rocky terrain, this course is different to Sun City and a fantastic golf experience. This afternoon spend time relaxing at the Valley of the Waves.
Day 4: Depart Sun City/Johannesburg
Transfer back to OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg) by private vehicle, to continue your holiday in our beautiful country.

Day 3: Cape Town/Mauritius
After breakfast today, check out and transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your onward flight to Mauritius. On arrival in Mauritius, transfer to your hotel where you spend the next 5 nights.
Day 4-7: Mauritius
Enjoy playing golf on the 18 hole championship golf course at Belle Mare Plage - The Links. Located beneath the clubhouse which faces the setting sun, the course is set in a location which seems to have been naturally created for the purpose.
Day 8: Depart Mauritius
Transfer back to the airport this morning, after a relaxing break on one of the most beautiful Indian Ocean Islands.
