Sheer Indulgence

Africa has an absolutely sensational range of spas and wellness centres that offer world class treatments, quite often in the most memorable settings.

Visitors will be delighted with the easy opportunities to pamper oneself from head to toe with scintilating and indulgent treatments and therapies, throughout their travels in Africa.

The range of spas varies greatly... within the smaller guest houses and lodges, the spa may be a single room, strategically positioned with an emphasis on either the view or perhapse an intimate meditation garden, to in-room or poolside treatments. At the opposite end of the spectrum, Africa boasts some lavish wellness centres, where one can immerse oneself in world-class facilities, with specialist therapists and superior products and treatments, sure to rejuvenate the most jaded soul.

All these options offer a marvelous antidote to stress, and a chance to escape into the realm of the senses - the perfect recipe to enhance any holiday!

Mangwanani African Day Spa

The Mangwanani African Spa experience is unique and can easily be added to any itinerary. The Mangwanani Spa's are truly African, with the emphasis on local community involvement and upliftment. Treatments call on the use of African ancestral therapies, herbs, spices and remedies, all wrapped up within the fables and traditions of Africa and based on the healing properties of massage. The Mangwanani Spa experience is just that... an experience, quite different to traditional wellness centres and spas, from drums and traditional song and dancethat welcome you to the spa on arrival, to 'communal' and individual massage treatments. One can choose from a number of packages that offer a decadent array of treatments. Guests will also enjoy simple yet delicious three course meals that incorporate the flavours of Africa, with some time to relax and enjoy your surroundings in-between treatments (all drinks are also includedin the package price).

The location of each spa has been chosen with care, with the emphasis on a natural and tranquil enviroment that also allows nature to play it's [art in the 'healing' process. There are currently seven Mangwanani Spa's in South Africa, two on the outskirts of Johannesburg, one just outside or Pretoria, another located outside of the seaside village of Umhlanga, north of Durban, a further spa can be found in the tranquil KwaZulu-Natal Midlands and the last spa is situated on a working wine farm in Cape Winelands of Stellenbosch.
